Performance Enhancement

Symphonies, Theatre groups, Bands, Festivals…

We can help you enhance your performances using original, custom-created video content.

The Inconsolable Bluesness of Jeans (2012)

  • Roles: Concept development, Graphics, Animation, Editing, Setting cues, Custom hardware design/construction
  • This workshop presentation was produced by Tottering Biped. Ring Productions created original video content to supplement the onstage action. Because the audience was seated on both sides of the playing area, the projected images were mirrored on both sides of the theatre.
  • We also custom-built a self-contained projection system, which housed its own playback device & internal power supply. The actors were able to walk around the stage holding the video projector without being bogged down with cabling.
  • We do not claim credit for the video documentation, only the video projections.

Last Round (2007)

  • Roles: Concept development, Filming, Editing
  • This piece was commissioned by the KW Symphony to be screened above the stage during their performance of Osvaldo Golijov’s “Last Round”. The piece was composed as a tribute to the great Tango composer Astor Piazzolla, who had passed away a few years earlier. Piazzolla was known to get in fistfights during his lifetime, and “Last Round” was meant as a metaphorical chance for Piazzolla’s spirit to fight one more time.

The audio in this video was performed by the St. Lawrence String Quartet.
